I am a former middle and high school English and history teacher. I left the classroom 16 years ago to start a family, and began tutoring when my kids were young. I started tutoring to keep a leg in the world of education and found that I enjoyed it immensely. I appreciate that I can be my student’s advocate and provide support however it is needed. I have learned the value of just listening to students, something that as a teacher I didn’t always have the luxury to do. I have a BA in English Literature and Religious Studies from Washington University, and a MA in Humanities from NYU. I live in Brooklyn, NY with my husband, three children, and rescue pup, Bonnie.
